Two years ⁓ 730 days ⁓ 1,051,200 minutes! That’s how long the Apostle Paul sat in a cell in Caesarea waiting, not knowing, and aging, maybe even getting antsy or second guessing himself, while seemingly nothing at all was happening and no one seemed to care. Left in prison, Paul sits and ponders the question he must surely have wondered with the psalmist: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me?" Yes, there are always opportunities to love, to pray, to give, to care. But what about when doing those things doesn’t seem to be doing anything? What then? — We stand! Not denying our lot — but by God's grace, defying it!
